Yesterday, WCHS Student Council visited Wanda Kendall to do Valentine's Day stations with the kindergarten classes.










Congratulations to our GRS Students of the Month for January. These are an amazing group of students who represent exactly what it means to a role model for others at GRS. Mrs. Sterrenberg could not be anymore proud of each and every one of them!!


We wanted to provide an update on the WCHS Spring Play. The dates and times remain the same, but the play that we are performing has changed. Please make plans to join us for An Act Of Piracy! Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22 at 7pm at the Watseka Theater. Tickets will go on sale later this month!

Congratulations to Betsy Newell for being chosen to represent
WJHS for the IESA Scholar Attitude Award. 8th grade students who are interested in applying
for the award are asked to write an essay on the “Value of Sportsmanship” and they must also
have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA and be in at least one IESA activity. (The IESA Scholar Attitude
Award honors those students who have maintained a high-academic standard while pursuing
participation in their school community through IESA activities. We would like to congratulate the
selected students on their focus, passion, and pursuit. We look forward to the leadership they
will provide in the future and we are pleased to be a part of their journey.) Betsy will now
compete against other students throughout the state. Good luck Betsy!!


The WCHS Student of the Month for Spanish is Owen Swartz!
Owen is an excellent student and always does his work on time. He can always be seen helping those who need it. Muy bien, Owen!


The WCHS Student of the Month for Driver's Ed/Health is Lilly Kingdon!
Lilly is here every day, with her work ready to go, and done flawlessly! She is doing a great job so far!


The WCHS Physical Education Student of the Month is Andrew Shoemaker!
Andrew shows up every day with a willingness and a desire to compete and get better. Congrats, Andrew!


The WCHS Fine Arts Student of the Month is Skyla Buwalda!
Skyla has a great drive and motivation to improve her skills when coming into choir. She is always on task and ready to improve no matter the day. Keep up the great work, Skyla!


The WCHS Math Student of the Month is Aleah Raymer!
Aleah comes to class each day with an eagerness to learn. She wants to know why things work instead of just how its done. Aleah does a fantastic job working with the students in her group to make sure they understand the math concepts being taught and how to use them. Great job, Aleah! Keep up the great work!


The WCHS English Student of the Month is Brian Morales-Macias!
The amount of effort Brian has put into learning and understanding the material has been astounding. Great job, Brian!
