The Watseka Cross Country boys competed in the ROCKtober EPGXC meet tonight. Drew McTaggart ran a 17:03 and took 8th place out of 147 varsity competitors. Hayden Sullivan ran a 19:28 improving his course time by 29 seconds! A special shout out to Klaire Eighner, daughter of Watseka Almuni, Justin Eighner, for taking 1st place in the girls varsity race!

2024-2025 WCHS Yearbooks are on sale for $40 (purchase price will go up to $45 after THIS Tuesday, October 1st). If you are personalizing your yearbook, you may purchase online or with the attached order form. Your student can return this order form to school with cash or check (made out to WCHS). Watseka Cross Country boys competed in the Herscher Invitational. Drew McTaggart took 1st place out of 109 competitors in the Boys Varsity race with a time of 16:15. Hayden Sullivan had a solid performance with a time of 18:33. Congrats!

Unit 9 elementary schools participate in the Blessings in a Backpack program. Each week approx. 85 students in grades pre-k-5th grade go home on Fridays with healthy food options for the weekend. This program is funded by donations. If your club, organization, or family wants a great way to make a difference, please consider donating to our Blessings in a Backpack fund. All donations go directly to the Unit 9 fund. REMINDER GRS PARENTS AND GUARDIANS - Starting TODAY, September 23rd we will be starting our new after-school pick-up procedures. Parents that pick-up their son/daughter will line-up starting on Washington Ave. and wrap around to 2nd St. Students will be dismissed out the gym doors and lined up at numbered signs. We are asking to help with traffic flow, ALL cars then use the right turn lane on 2nd St to turn onto Mulberry St. Please see the image before for more information.
