The NHS Members would like to say thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Veterans Day Assembly & Breakfast. A special thanks to Watseka American Legion & our guest speaker Pastor Ryan Mustered. Also thank you to our band and choir students for providing amazing music and a great song. WCHS Student Council is partnering with Glenn Raymond School to hold a holiday shop on Friday, December 13 during school hours. At the shop, students can purchase items at a reasonable rate for their family members. Please have your student bring in an envelope with $5-$15 if they plan on shopping the week of December 9th. Teachers will be collecting the envelopes starting December 9th and holding them until Friday for the students. We are excited for this fun activity!! On Sunday, November 3rd, the National Honor Society's Induction Banquet was held at WCHS. The current members welcomed 10 new members, including Taylor Bright, Lydia Heeren, Christa Holohan, Abigail Neukomm, David Parmenter, Cara Petersen, Thayren Rigsby, Noelle Schroeder, Ainsley Urban and Kyah Westerfield . The ceremony included the presentation of flowers, readings from current members, introduction of the new members, and presentation of pins, along with desserts and time spent with family. Congratulations to all new members!

The WCHS Student of the Month for History/Geography is Lydia Mustered! Lydia has been dominating social studies by taking 3 classes this semester. She is always prepared and pays attention to detail in her work. Mrs. Cluver enjoys having her in class and loves her insightfulness. Congrats, Lydia! The WCHS Student of the Month for the CTE Department is Ramon Jaime! Ramon is always polite, takes care of business, and is helpful when asked to do something. Ramon works well on his own and gets things done.
