The NHS Members would like to say thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Veterans Day Assembly & Breakfast. A special thanks to Watseka American Legion & our guest speaker Pastor Ryan Mustered. Also thank you to our band and choir students for providing amazing music and a great song. Thank you to Dr. Andriano & Mr. Eshleman. We also would like to say thank you to Stuart Swalls, of Edward Jones, ABRA of Sheldon, Creative in Wood & Tile & Silo Pub & Eatery for partnering with us on this great event.
And most importantly, many thanks to all the Veterans, not just today, but every day. Your service is greatly appreciated!
WCHS Student Council is partnering with Glenn Raymond School to hold a holiday shop on Friday, December 13 during school hours. At the shop, students can purchase items at a reasonable rate for their family members. Please have your student bring in an envelope with $5-$15 if they plan on shopping the week of December 9th. Teachers will be collecting the envelopes starting December 9th and holding them until Friday for the students. We are excited for this fun activity!! On Sunday, November 3rd, the National Honor Society's Induction Banquet was held at WCHS. The current members welcomed 10 new members, including Taylor Bright, Lydia Heeren, Christa Holohan, Abigail Neukomm, David Parmenter, Cara Petersen, Thayren Rigsby, Noelle Schroeder, Ainsley Urban and
Kyah Westerfield . The ceremony included the presentation of flowers, readings from current members, introduction of the new members, and presentation of pins, along with desserts and time spent with family. Congratulations to all new members!
The WCHS Football and Cheerleading Teams will have their Fall Banquet on November 11.

Congrats to Drew McTaggart! He took 18th overall at the IHSA Sectional today, and qualified as the 3rd individual runner to advance to State next week in Peoria.
There will be no school on November 5th as we are observing Election Day.

The WCHS Student of the Month for History/Geography is Lydia Mustered!
Lydia has been dominating social studies by taking 3 classes this semester. She is always prepared and pays attention to detail in her work. Mrs. Cluver enjoys having her in class and loves her insightfulness. Congrats, Lydia!
The WCHS Student of the Month for the CTE Department is Ramon Jaime!
Ramon is always polite, takes care of business, and is helpful when asked to do something. Ramon works well on his own and gets things done.
The WCHS Student of the Month for P.E. is Laura Serritslev!
Laura works hard in PE every day with a great attitude and has a great work ethic. She is understanding of the rules and strategies with the new games she plays in class. Congrats to Laura!
The WCHS Student of the Month for English is Quinn Starkey!
Quinn comes to class prepared and produces excellent work. His attention to detail when writing papers and reading books is impressive. Congratulations, Quinn!
The WCHS Student of the Month for Math is Elika Hardisty!
Elika is a very good Geometry student who has turned in exceptional work, but she has also shown exceptional critical thinking skills. She both participates in and pushes along the class discovery items and has shown a great work ethic as well. Congratulations and great job, Elika!
The WCHS Student of the Month for Fine Arts is Maya Machev!
Maya has done an amazing job in the fine arts department. She is a great musician, a dedicated leader, and a great example for her peers. Not only does she always do a fantastic job, she is always willing to help other students be successful. Maya has shown great maturity by being able to balance many different activities and responsibilities. Great job, Maya!
The WCHS Student of the Month for Spanish is Hayden Sullivan!
Hayden has done an awesome job in Spanish class by scoring 100% for his first quarter grade. He makes sure all of his work is done on time and isn't afraid to ask for help. He is always willing to help others as well as help his Spanish teacher! Congrats, Hayden!
